Westfields Hospital & Clinic Named a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital

Posted on:

Westfields Hospital & Clinic has been named one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States for the fifth time in the past six years. Westfields was one of only eight Wisconsin hospitals to receive this recognition from The Chartis Center for Rural Health.  The recognition is based on results of the Hospital Strength INDEX® from iVantage Health Analytics which measures quality, outcomes, patient perspective, finance measures and other factors.

Steve Massey, Westfields Hospital & Clinic President and CEO, said: “To be recognized as a Top 100 Hospital consistently year-after-year is a great testament to the efforts our colleagues take day-after-day to provide the best possible health care for our patients and our community.”

This past year Westfields Hospital & Clinic also earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Hospital Accreditation and achieved honors for sustainability from Practice Greenhealth. “I am so proud of the ongoing commitment of our team has made to performance improvement to continue to deliver safe, quality care,” said Massey.

“In an era of increased complexity and uncertainty, Top 100 hospitals have established themselves as a bellwether for rural provider performance,” said Michael Topchik, National Leader of The Chartis Center for Rural Health. “Top 100 status is a real indicator of how proactive these hospitals are when it comes to pushing for performance improvement in areas such as quality, outcomes, patient safety, market share and finance.”
