Recycling event scheduled for October 17

Members of the community are invited to clean out their closets to dispose of select electronic devices safely, securely and responsibly at the Westfields Hospital & Clinic Tech Dump.

  • Thursday, October 17, 2019
  • 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Westfields Hospital & Clinic Conference Center parking lot, 535 Hospital Road, New Richmond, WI

“We’re delighted to bring this opportunity to the community again for people to recycle their cell phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers for free,” said Nathan Schoone, chair of the green team at Westfields Hospital & Clinic. “We take our commitment to sustainable practices very seriously. We disposed of more than 3,500 pounds of electronics from our community securely and responsibly at previous events and we’d love to do the same or better again.”

The following items will be accepted free of charge for recycling at the event:

  • Notebook Computers / Laptops / Desktops / Servers
  •  Hard drives / Motherboards / Switches / Routers / Firewalls
  • Cell phones / Smart phones / iPads / Tablets / iPods/Keyboards/Mice
  • Christmas lights

There will be a charge if the following items are brought for recycling: TVs and monitors.

Items not accepted: household electronics, printers, scanners, lamps, batteries, light bulbs.
