November health classes announced
Three health seminars will take place at Westfields Hospital & Clinic in November. On Wednesday, November 1 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Nicholas Weiss, MD, Twin Cities Orthopedics, will discuss “Knee arthritis: What are my options?” The class will cover the diagnosis and treatments for knee arthritis, including tried-and-true treatment and latest technology.
Dr. Weiss is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN and a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Madison, WI.
On Tuesday, November 7, from 4 – 5:30 p.m. the first in the three-part series “Healthy Weight for Life” begins. Learn strategies to prioritize and execute meal planning for long-term weight loss from a registered dietitian. You’ll receive tools to help you achieve your healthy eating goals and get a jump start on a healthy New Year. The fee for the series is $75. Individual support can be added for an additional $25.
On Wednesday, November 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. a Benefit Specialist from the Aging and Disability Resource Center of St. Croix County will offer “Medicare Annual Enrollment Period – Overview and Updates”. Hear about the 2018 plans and how you can make an informed choice about your future coverage.
