In support of the Wisconsin face covering mandate
Amery, Hudson and Westfields hospitals welcome the news of Gov. Evers’ executive order requiring face coverings in public buildings starting August 1.
Ted Wegleitner, HealthPartners St. Croix Valley executive leader, said: “We welcome Gov. Evers’ face covering mandate as an important and easy step to promote health and slow the spread of COVID-19. Wearing masks, social distancing, frequent hand-washing and staying home when sick, are simple ways for us all to look out for one another. Using a face covering is also an act of compassion for our colleagues who are caring for those with COVID. Our team is committed to doing everything we can to support health, prevent illness and compassionately care for people with illness and disease.”
Kreegan Reierson, MD, hospital medicine director for the HealthPartners hospitals in the St. Croix Valley and western Wisconsin, said: “We salute the State of Wisconsin for protecting our elderly citizens with this action.”
Martin Richards, MD, emergency medicine director for the HealthPartners hospitals in the St. Croix Valley and western Wisconsin, said: “This is the right move – it’s the safe thing to do for our community and for individuals.”
