Our first goal is to help our patients discover hope that they can feel better and manage their chronic pain. We start this change process by making sure you are the most important member of the pain management team. Successful treatment depends on your active role in our treatment plan.
What kind of pain do we treat?
We treat all types of chronic pain, from simple to complex.
What is chronic pain?
Chronic pain is often defined as any pain that lasts more than 12 weeks. Chronic physical pain can and often does lead to emotional and mental suffering. We specialize in chronic pain that has failed to respond to other treatments.
- Spine pain, back and neck
- Extremity pain
- Headaches and migraines
- Cancer pain
What is multidisciplinary care?
Multidisciplinary care has been scientifically studied and found to provide the best outcome for chronic pain. Our team will create a plan of care with you for managing your chronic pain through a combination of proven, evidence-based treatments, including restorative physical therapy, health psychology and medication management.
What is pain psychology?
A pain psychologist helps patients more effectively live and recapture their life in spite of chronic pain. Our program provides the tools and skills you need to help start the healing process and improve your quality of life.
What is medication management?
We develop a plan for ongoing management and support of chronic pain while limiting the use of strong pain medications. Often, we will reduce or taper off ineffective medications, leading to better pain control and fewer side effects. In their place, we substitute more effective long-term treatments, giving you more control in handling your chronic pain. Medication adjustments will be made in clinic during appointments.
