Education
Medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in 1992.
Orthopaedic surgical residency at the University of Iowa.
Sports Medicine Fellowship from Steadman-Hawkins Clinic, Vail, CO, emphasizing arthroscopic surgical techniques in the shoulder and knee, as well as cartilage regeneration techniques used in sports medicine.
Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holding a subspecialty certification in sports medicine.

Research
Outcomes research has been published on the use of knee braces in sports, revision ACO reconstruction, and knee ligament injuries in world class alpine ski racers.
Currently has ongoing research studying ACL reconstruction in the knee.

Volunteering
Participates as an educator in Hennepin County Medical Center family practice sports medicine fellowship program.
Provides care to local sports teams including Stillwater Area High School, Stillwater, MN; University of Wisconsin-River Falls Athletics; and the St. Paul Saints Baseball team.
Consulting physician for the United States Ski Team.
