Dr. Fernandez received his MD in 1985 at the University of La Salle Medical School, Mexico. His internal medicine training was completed at Louisiana State University.  He finished his training in Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota in 1998.  As an expert in the fields of gynaecology, neuro-oncology, hematology-oncology, gastro intestinal cancer, thoracic cancer and sarcomas, Dr. Fernandez has proven his ability to provide exceptional care for those battling cancer.  He has publications in international peer-reviewed medical journals such as, Journal of Surgical Oncology, Hematology, Medical Oncology and Leukemia and Lymphoma. His scientific productivity was recognized with a prestigious prize, awarded to him by the National Institute of Mexican Social Security.  The U.S. government also declared him to be a Person of Extraordinary Ability.
