Westfields Hospital & Clinic makes it two in a row for national Top 20 listing
Westfields Hospital & Clinic was named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the country by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA).
It’s the second straight year that Westfields has been named to this list.
The Top 20 honors list was officially unveiled at the national Critical Access Hospital Conference, held virtually this year due to COVID-19.
“Everyone at Westfields Hospital & Clinic plays a role in making sure our patients receive outstanding, safe care, and that’s shown in this recognition,” said Steve Massey, President and CEO. “This year, the pandemic has challenged health care workers around the world, and I am incredibly proud of the way the team here at Westfields has risen to meet that challenge, continuing to care for our community with the excellence and compassion for which they are known.”
The Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals represent the cream of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals, a list evaluated and produced by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. Westfields Hospital & Clinic has been included on the Top 100 list six times in the past seven years.
As a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital, Westfields demonstrates high-ranking performance across eight categories, including patient perspective, quality, outcomes and financial efficiency. Westfields Hospital & Clinic is part of the HealthPartners family of care, the largest consumer-governed, non-profit health care organization in the nation with a mission to improve health and well-being in partnership with members, patients and the community.
“From the moment a patient comes through our door, we aim to make it a warm welcome, through to their discharge home,” said Leanne Roggemann, Chief Nursing Officer. “While they’re here, in addition to the outstanding care provided by our care teams, we offer integrative therapies like music and massage. Hospital leaders also visit patients while they’re here, to get their feedback directly. We never lose sight of the patient experience, from start to finish.”
